RIAA updates

One of the groups I hate (and I dont use that term lightly) is the RIAA. They are just some blood sucking vampires. Here is some misc updates on them..

1) RIAA Export Witness is an idiot (my words not theirs). RIAA’s export on P2P is deemed “borderline incompetent”. Which is a big blow to the expert witness testimony.

2) MediaSentry’s rols in RIAA lawsuit is getting investigated. MediaSentry has been acting like a Private Investigator (PI) without a license. Oops. You really should look at the laws before doing work in a given space.

3) MIT student to fight RIAA. Yeah! fight those bastards! They go after college students since they are broke and scared of the death they are amassing from school, so they are more likely to settle out of court.

4) here is an interview with the misguided RIAA. They are really misguided.

5) Here is another bonehead manuever by RIAA. Make a training video for the DA’s offices and not expect the world to see it. Here is link one and link two about the video. I have only watched a few minutes of the whole video since I started to cry I was laughing at how stupid it was. You know that all drug dealers are also music pirates and it is very easy to bust them on music piracy and then add on the related drug charges to it. Yeah all these pirates are drug dealers. NOT! but what can you do?

6) RIAA wants all citizens to run copyright filters on their PCs so they can block piracy at the individual computer level. Hmm nope.. not going to do it.

Norwegian Police give MPAA the finger…

Ok maybe not the finger but close enough..

Norwegian Police tell MPAA they are not going after file sharers since they dont have the man power to waste on it. Rock on! more police units need to do the same thing. Now if we can get the RIAA to get similar blows life would be better.. Not good but better.

RIAA is getting sued again. Yeah!

A grandmother is suing Sony, and adding the RIAA due to their illegal practices in the state of Texas. There is news all the time about the RIAA being sued or counter-sued due to what they are doing. They should be. RIAA is short for RIco Act Association. They do act like someone that should be shutdown under the Rico Act. We should shut them down, and the MPAA also.

RIAA Hates College Students

Now everyone knows that I am not a bif fan of the RIAA. But this is going a little too far…

I was reading an article that I picked up at digg about the RIAA wanting college students to drop out of college and I could not believe the headlines. But here is a quote…

Bowie even had the audacity to say, “In fact, the RIAA has been known to suggest that students drop out of college or go to community college in order to be able to afford settlements.”

Are. You. Shitting. Me.

Bowie is the “nickname” for tht article of the RIAA representative. Idiot!
