I should be ashamed of my manors

When I was leaving Publix today on my way home I was not courteous to the little guy. I wasnt rude but…

On my way out of the store, I was walking to my truck and the little guy was walking towards his father at their car. Our paths would not only cross but we would bump into each other if something didnt change. So I changed my path a little to avoid the “middle air collision“. I didnt say anything and to most people that was “polite enough“. But as a southern gentlemen and being raised southern, that was wrong. I should have said excuse me. Now the little guy did not say anything at first either. But when his father pointed it out to his son, he son “excused” himself. I did the same. Him father was doing the right thing, by teaching his son to be a polite young man. Big shocker in today’s world. I want to thank both of them. The father for teaching his son to do the right thing and be polite. And for the son for being a well mannered young man. Now I seriously doubt they will see this with all that is out on the whole web but if they do, “thank you“.
